Rumour has it, that this soviet Ushanka was detected in space by the satellites and it was recognized as UFO at first, however in April the 20th, 1969 it was discovered that this hat was recorded as a personal item in Vostok 3KA space capsule - which was the first spaceflight of the Vostok programme and the first human spaceflight in history. The spacecraft had only one passenger - Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin, otherwise known as the first human to journey into outer space. 
On 27th March, 1968 during a routine training flight, Gagarin and his fellow comrade died when their airplane crashed near the town of Kirzhach, Kremlin immediately wrapped the accident in secrecy, the cause of the crash that killed Yuri is uncertain and became the subject of several theories, just like the hat.
